The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is hosting a webinar to assist long-term care facilities (LTCF) in planning for the 2025-2026 respiratory virus season. DPH will provide an overview of the current state and national trends in respiratory illnesses including influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). We will review control measures, vaccination recommendations, and the responsibilities of LCTF for reporting respiratory clusters and influenza vaccination data for all health care personnel. The latest recommendations to protect patients, residents and staff and strategies to promote vaccination will also be discussed.
